The first photograph is showing the cold wind blowing your hair in every direction with your hand on your face, trying to protect yourself from the cold. The second photograph is showing us black shoes and black pants; this may signify coldness since Black is worn to attract sunlight and get you warm. Or maybe another kind of coldness is reflected, a coldness felt on a day of mourning?
