il start off by saying, i didnt have my wacom tablet -_- which i miss and HATE using a mouse, so this was all done witha mouse and was rather frustrating but im happy with the end result

This is incredibly striking, and knowing you did it all with the mouse instead of tablet is really amazing. Nice concept adn very good composition, works great
thank you so much ^_^ i can definately, you want to start off with a dark colour, il say blue because i used blue.
take the blue and make a dark area -not too harsh but lightly. then you want to gradually get lighter as you reach the center , the very last colour should be white if you want it that bright. if its a single round light you want. if you want strikes do the same effect but into long lines, so the outside or the base of the line should be dark dark blue and work your way to light as you get more center of the line creating that light effect i hope this helps
